The 2030 Tosa Task Force is a nonpartisan, independent community initiative dedicated to restoring trust, transparency, and accountability in Wauwatosa’s public schools. We believe that strong, ethical public education is the cornerstone of a thriving, inclusive community. Our work stems from deep concern over the current state of governance, academics, and financial stewardship within the Wauwatosa School District.
Our mission is to inform, engage, and mobilize residents through fact-based advocacy and constructive civic dialogue. We aim to hold public officials accountable, promote ethical leadership, and ensure that decision-making in our school system reflects the best interests of students, families, educators, taxpayers, and the broader community.
The Task Force is not affiliated with any political party, candidate, or government body. While our members hold a range of personal beliefs, the organization does not endorse or advance any partisan agenda. We are guided by the principles of integrity, inclusivity, and respect for diverse perspectives.
This report was produced by the 2030 Task Force. The findings presented here are grounded in public records, state audits, internal communications, academic data, and firsthand accounts. The comparative national analysis is based on a structured five-dimension rubric designed to assess systemic governance failure in U.S. public school districts.
Scoring methodology, source documentation, and literature references are provided in the accompanying Methodology and Literature Review Supplement, developed in partnership with the Marquette S-Lab in a research support capacity. The S-Lab’s involvement reflects academic rigor; all findings and conclusions are the responsibility of the 2030 Task Force.
This report is not intended as a political statement. It is a governance indictment grounded in evidence—and a call to action on behalf of students, staff, and the Wauwatosa community.
The pace of developments across the district has been intense. On a weekly basis, the 2030 Task Force delivers The Tosa Ledger to provide you with a clear, weekly roundup of actions, alerts, and stories that matter. Forward freely. Act boldly.
